LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego Athletics is in the midst of its second season of the Between Two Zooms video series. In season two, fans get the opportunity to hear from scholar-athletes and members of the Triton community.
Today's edition features redshirt junior
Bobbi Aguirre of the softball team. This past season, her first year back from tommy john rehab, the Chino Hills native tied for a team-best 29 hits and was second in runs with 15. Aguirre is a 2018 All-West Region and All-CCAA Second Team honoree on the field and a 2020 CCAA All-Academic recipient in the classroom. The human biology major of Revelle College will serve as UC San Diego's Triton Athletes' Council (TAC) Vice President for the upcoming academic year. While on a cross-country road trip with her family, Aguirre chats with Steve Quis about new hobbies she has acquired during quarantine, career plans following her time as a Triton, and more.
