LA JOLLA, Calif. – Sophomore standout
Samantha Womack continues to make an impact both on the softball field and in the classroom, earning recognition on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
A Marine Biology major from Temple City, California, Womack was honored for her combined excellence in academics and athletics after putting together a career-best season for the program.
The sophomore posted collegiate highs across multiple offensive categories this season, recording 29 runs scored, 38 hits, and 21 RBIs while finishing with an impressive .504 slugging percentage. Her strong offensive production also placed her among the top 20 players in the Big West Conference in home runs, doubles, and runs scored.
Womack's recognition highlights her dedication to balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with academic achievement, while continuing to emerge as one of the conference's top performers.
