The Tritons will play the first two games at Cal State San Marcos and the last two games at home. The second half of the series will kick-off a 12 game homestand.

CCAA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Junior shortstop
Shay Whitcomb was named CCAA athlete of the week after the Triton's series win over SF State. He went 5-for-16 from the plate with four of his hits going for home runs. He now ranks tenth in program history with 20 career home runs.
KINGS OF THE MOUND
The Triton's ERA of 2.79 sits atop of the CCAA and tenth in the NCAA. Three UC San Diego pitchers rank atop the CCAA with Mattson leading the conference with a .86 ERA.
Brandon Weed sits in second with an ERA of 1.23 and
Cameron Leonard is in sixth with an ERA of 2.13. Both Weed and Mattson have allowed a conference low 13 hits.
Nationally, the pitching staff ranks fourth in shutouts (three), 10
th in strikeout-to-walk tatio (3.45) and 12
th in WHIP (1.16).
STOLEN BASES
Brandon Stewart ranks second in the CCAA and 12
th in the NCAA in stolen bases with 11. The team has already record 24 stolen bases this season and is on pace to break the total from the 2019 season (29) and 2018 season (27).
WALK IT OFF
The Tritons have been patient at the plate and have been walked 113 times, good for second in the nation.
Blake Baumgartner leads the Tritons with 18 walks on the season.
Michael Fuhrman is right behind him with 14.
FAMILIAR FACES
Cougars freshman Luc Stuka is the younger brother of former Triton
Ted Stuka, who now plays for the Detroit Tigers organization. Cal State San Marcos assistant coach Eric Hutting was on the staff for Gold West College in 2018 when
Luke Mattson was on the team.
BIG WEST BOUND
UC San Diego is in its 20th and final year playing as an NCAA Division II team. In July of 2020, the entire athletics program will begin a four-year transition to NCAA Division I, culminating in full DI status as a member of the
Big West Conference for the 2024-25 academic year. At that time, all sports will be eligible for conference and NCAA postseason play.
