LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego baseball was recognized for outstanding achievement in the classroom by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). The Tritons were recognized with the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. The Tritons finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.38 team grade point average and 3.29 term GPA during the spring quarter.
Michael Crossland and
Nathan Huy were named to the CSC Academic All-District team, 14 Tritons earned Big West Spring All-Academic honors and 35 appeared on the Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll, with 10 receiving highest honors for a 3.51 cumulative GPA and above.
The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA's awards program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional & National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
