LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego baseball has 14 scholar-athletes participating in Collegiate Summer Ball around the country this summer, with the majority competing in the West Coast League.

Ten current Tritons and four incoming scholar-athletes are participating in six different leagues, including the West Coast League (6), Alaska Baseball League (2), Pacific Empire League (2), Utah Marshalls (2), California Collegiate League (1) and Northwoods League (1).Â

The 24-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors. A total of 84 Tritons have earned Academic All-America honors, while 38 have garnered prestigious NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships.
