POMONA, Calif. ? The 5th-ranked UC San Diego men's tennis team complete the season sweep of Cal Poly Pomona, beating the Broncos by a 7-2 score on Wednesday afternoon at the Kellogg Tennis Complex on the CPP campus. With the win the Tritons improve to 15-5 overall while dropping the Broncos to 2-13 in 2007.

The Tritons took a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the match, winning at the top two spots on the ladder.

In singles play, UCSD captured five of the six singles matches in straight sets including Blake Meister's 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 5 slot. The lone Cal Poly Pomona victory came at the No. 3 spot where Joe Madoo defeated Kazumi Negishi in three sets by scores of 6-4, 1-6 and 10-3.

UCSD will return to action this weekend with two matches in northern California, beginning with a match at Sonoma State on Saturday. The Tritons will then conclude their regular season with a Sunday morning match at Santa Clara University.
