AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: In his third year as a Triton compiled a singles record of 8-13 and was 10-10 in doubles play...Went 1-1 at #2, 5-9 at #3 and 2-3 at #4 on the singles ladder...With 5 different partners was 10-10 overall, most notably went 3-2 at #2 with teammate Bijan Moallemi.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Played in nearly every match for the Tritons in his second year on the La Jolla campus... Owned a 15-8 record while splitting time between the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots on the ladder... Played mostly at No. 6, holding an 8-2 record... Was 16-6 in doubles play, including a 16-4 record with Bijan Moallemi between the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spots... Also had an 0-1 record with both Ramesh Thondapu and Alex Whitmore at the No. 3 spot on the ladder.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Went 13-9 individually while climbing as high as the No. 3 spot on the ladder during his first season with the Tritons... Was 0-1 from the No.3 spot, 2-1 from the No. 4 spot, 11-6 from the No. 5 spot, and 0-1 at No. 6..Led the Tritons with 17 doubles wins with three different partners... Went 0-1 with Steven Oechel and 2-3 with Ramesh Thondapu from the No. 3 position... Enjoyed his most doubles success with Eric Rubens, as the pair went 13-2 from the No. 3 and 2-0 from the No. 2 spots on the ladder.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, Calif... Was a four-time team MVP... Part of the 2004 ACCAC Doubles Championship team... Also lettered in golf.
PERSONAL: Born May 29, 1987... Parents are Kazuo and Yasuko Negishi...Is a Management Science major at Roosevelt College.
