LA JOLLA, Calif. — Triton junior
Zach Pellouchoud has been named to the Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. Pellouchoud becomes the third men's tennis player at UC San Diego to receive the honor since the school moved to Division I in 2020 and is the team's 13th all-time recipient.

A cognitive science major in Muir College, Pellouchoud plans to work in cybersecurity once his playing career is over. The San Diego native has a cumulative 3.76 grade point average. He played in all 21 matches for the Tritons this season, going 9-9 at No. 1 doubles and 7-12 at No. 3 and 4 singles.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. A part of the CSC Academic All-America® program, honorees are recognized separately in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have played in 70% of the team's matches. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.
