REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — The UC San Diego men's rowing team wrapped up two days of racing Sunday at the Redwood Shores Invitational in San Mateo County.

The Tritons ran two boats, a first varsity eight and a second varsity eight. They went up against Stanford as well as host California Saturday and concluded the event against Oregon State Sunday.

The Tritons are ranked 23rd in the January 2026 For Stars Network Way too Early national poll, California is No. 1 and is followed by Washington in second and Harvard in third. Stanford filled the No. 4 spot and Oregon State was 20th.

Santa Clara, and the University of San Diego are also in the field, but UC San Diego did not race either the Broncos or Toreros.

The Triton men's rowing team is in its second season as a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). UC San Diego closed its 2025 season by qualifying two varsity eight boats for the IRA National Championship.
