12 Triton Rowers Earn All-Academic Acclaim from MPSF

LA JOLLA, Calif. — Twelve members of the UC San Diego men's rowing team have earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic distinction as the conference announced its annual awards Wednesday.

To qualify, a scholar-athlete must hold a 3.0 grade point average or better, be at least a sophomore, have attended UC San Diego for a full year prior to winning the honor, and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's events over the 2025-26 season.

The Tritons wrap up their season this coming weekend at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship Regatta. The event takes place May 29-31 on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., just outside of Sacramento.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program has begun a new era as a member of The Big West in NCAA Division I. The 24-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors. A total of 83 Tritons have earned Academic All-America honors, while 39 have garnered prestigious NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships.
