SAN DIEGO — Triton men's rowing competed in the team's lone fall event of the year on Sunday, racing four boats in the San Diego Fall Classic. The varsity four boat led the way with a first-place finish in the men's open 4+ event.
Second varsity four took third in that same event. In the men's open 8+ competition, the Tritons' varsity eight boat placed second. The second varsity eight boat was fourth.
The head races saw teams set out on the long-distance course individually in a time-trial format. They were then ranked based on their final times. The Mission Bay course began near the South Shores Boat Ramp before continuing around Vacation Isle and finishing in front of Crown Point Park.
