DEXTER, Ore. – Returning to the water this weekend for their second race of the year, the UC San Diego men's rowing team was back in action this weekend competing at the 2024 Oregon State Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
 
The Tritons had a pair of boats competing against strong competition from the west. UC San Diego competed against a trio of strong opponents in host Oregon State, Gonzaga and Santa Clara with the races held at Dexter Reservoir.
 
UC San Diego's first Varsity Eight had a strong weekend overall as they earned a pair of first place finishes against all three opponents, as well as an individual victory over Santa Clara. Not to be outdone, the Second Varsity Eight picked up a head-to-head victory over the Broncos, to go along with a third place finish against the rest of the field.
 
Saturday's later afternoon races were postponed due to high winds and were completed on Sunday.
