CSCAA Recognizes Swim and Dive

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Scholar All-America Teams and Individual Scholar All-Americans for the 2023 season. Both the men's and women's squads earned team distinction while Chloe Braun, Katja Pavicevic, Jordan Phillips, and Ivan Kurakin earned individual honors.

718 teams were selected to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2023 semester based upon the basis of their Spring 2023 team grade point averages with 17,497 scholar-athletes represented. The Triton men posted a team GPA of 3.1 for the spring semester while the Triton women posted a 3.6.

To be named to the First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the "B" time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet.

At the Division I level, 1,201 scholar-athletes were recognized with 721 women and 480 men. Freshman Chloe Braun, senior Katja Pavicevic, and senior Jordan Phillips each earned Scholar All-American Second Team honors. On the men's side, senior Ivan Kurakin was the lone Triton to earn individual honors making the Second Team as well.

This is the tenth year earning CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for the UC San Diego swim and dive program overall and the second year as a Division I institution.
