LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego head swim coach
Marko Djordjevic announced the 2025-26 Triton schedule on Thursday afternoon. UC San Diego will compete against several notable programs throughout the course of the season, including Cal, Stanford, Wisconsin, USC, and UCLA. The Tritons will host seven meets at Canyonview Aquatic Center on the La Jolla campus.
"I am excited for a great season," Djordjevic said. "As always we have a tough dual meet schedule that will challenge us and prepare us for The Big West Championship." UC San Diego is set to compete in The Big West for the second season, after the conference added swim and dive in 2024.
The Tritons will get the season started with a stacked Triton Invitational on Oct. 10-11 at Canyonview. The impressive field includes Cal, Hawai'i, UC Santa Barbara and the Stanford women's program. The two day event will be highlighted by senior day on Saturday, where UC San Diego will recognize and thank its 12 seniors prior to the afternoon session on Oct. 11. The following week, the Tritons remain home to host their annual meet with CMS, this time with Simon Fraser also competing on Oct. 18.
The November slate features a home dual with the UC Davis women (Nov. 7) before both the men's and women's sides head to Malibu to face Pepperdine and UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 14. The month concludes with the Tritons' annual appearance at Utah Tech's Trailblazer Invite (Nov. 19-22).
Returning in the new year, UC San Diego will host UCLA (women) and Wisconsin on Jan. 3. Keeping the competition tough, the Tritons will travel to USC on Jan. 9 to face the Trojans as well as UNLV. The Triton men welcome Stanford to Canyonview on Jan. 16 before both Triton programs visit Cal Baptist on Jan. 24. UC San Diego will conclude regular season competition with the women at USD on Jan. 31.
UC San Diego will compete at the 2026 Big West Swim Championships from Feb. 11-14 in Houston. The last chance meet hosted by Georgia will take place Feb. 28-March 1 in Athens. NCAA Championships will occur March 18-21 (women) and March 25-28 (men) at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
