Braun Stands Out at French Elite Championships

MONTPELLIER, France – UC San Diego swimmer Chloe Braun competed at the 2025 French Elite Championships where she took home a bronze and silver medal while setting two long course records for the Tritons.

On the second day of the championships, Braun broke the program record in the prelim swim for the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.74. Returning to finals, the now senior Triton cut the time again with a 31.87 turn at the halfway mark and then a 36.66 to finish at 1:08.53.

Braun returned on the fourth day for the 50 breaststroke swimming faster in the finals once again. Shaving off 0.19, the French national took the silver medal, a touch behind gold with a time of 31.55.

A three-time All-Big West swimmer and two-time 2025 Big West champion (200 Medley Relay; 100 Breaststroke), Braun swam at the FEC with her hometown team Dauphins Toulouse OEC.
