SAN DIEGO – UC San Diego men's rowing took part in the 2021 San Diego Fall Classic at Crown Point Park on Sunday morning. The Tritons faced some strong competition in the event, with teams mostly from California with the exception of Arizona State. The Tritons placed three Varsity Eight boats in the Open 8+, with UC San Diego's varsity eight boat finishing first.
VARSITY 8
The Varsity 8 claimed the top spot in the Men's Open 8+ with a raw time of 14:45.733. Gonzaga's Varsity 8 claimed the second spot with the Tritons' second boat following.
The Varsity 8 boat consisted of

Stuart Boynton, Michael Brown,
Miko Brown,
Thomas Wilson,
Matt Schade, Kevork Tchakmakjian, and Dani Jarotzky.
SECOND VARSITY 8
Coming in third, not far behind UC San Diego's Varsity 8, the Tritons' Second Varsity 8 boat finished with a time of 14:55.475.
The Second Varsity 8 boat consisted of
Sam Feinberg (C), Ian Cosgrobe,
Ray Gazzo, Chris Cox,
Loren Phillips,
Hayden McCormick, Camden Park-Coburn,
Sean Romero, and Austin Newman.
THIRD VARSITY 8
Out of the 16 boats the Third Varsity 8 took ninth with a time of 15:45.096 following just under a minute behind the Tritons' Varsity 8.
The Third Varsity 8 boat consisted of Tommy Morehouse (C), Max Igou, Christian Gaylord,
Alex Francis, Jameson Godsey, Jake Lopez, Caleb Waechter,
Larry Zhou, and Michael McMaster.
