LA JOLLA , Calif. - The UC San Diego men's tennis team was defeated by Fresno Pacific on Friday afternoon 9-0. The loss brought the Tritons overall season record to 8-9. In doubles action No.1 Alex Gonzales and Vincent Joli defeated Tritons Kazumi Negishi and Erik Elliott, 8-5. At the second spot Marco Foelz and Maxime Adam defeated Vincent Nguyen and Brandon Stevenson, 8-3. UCSD's Naveen Dixit and Samuel Ling fell to the Sunbirds' Jose Hilla and Fabio Silva at the third spot on the doubles ladder, 9-8.

The top singles spot saw Fresno Pacific's Silva defeat Nguyen 6-0, 6-0. Alex Gonzales defeated Dixit at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-0 final. Chapman Chan was defeated by Sunbirds' Foelz at the third spot on the ladder. Fresno Pacific's Maxime Adam defeated Jake Fellow 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Triton Sam Ling was defeated by Hilla and Billy McCall fell to Nicolas Ernst 6-1, 6-1.

The Tritons will be traveling to Lakewood, Colorado next week when they face Colorado Christian on Saturday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m.
