LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego (7-8) defeated the Pacific Tigers (5-5) 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at Northview Tennis Courts. The Tritons secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions and claimed singles wins at the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 spots. This victory caps off a great weekend for the team in La Jolla, highlighted by the PAC Coast doubles event where they reached the quarterfinals with two teams and secured wins against UCLA.

UC San Diego clinched doubles with wins on two courts.
Abhinav Chunduru and
Trevor Nguyen delivered a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, showcasing the strength of the freshman class. Meanwhile,
Yaron Guberman and
Oliver Worth achieved a decisive 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. The match at No. 2 doubles, with
Andrew Beceiro and
Prathinav Chunduru, remained unfinished with Tritons leading at 4-3.

In singles, Nguyen recorded a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles, overcoming his opponent 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. Guberman delivered a dominant performance at No. 6 singles, winning 6-1, 6-1, further contributing to a weekend filled with back-and-forth matches, as seen in their recent dual match. P. Chunduru also triumphed in three sets on court No. 3, finishing 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, clinching the match for UC San Diego.

Worth faced a challenging match at No. 1 singles, narrowly falling 6-4, 3-6, 4-6. At No. 5 singles,
David Adamson was unable to overcome his opponent, finishing with a 1-6, 1-6 scoreline. The match at No. 4 singles for A. Chunduru was left unfinished with a score of 5-7, 7-5, 4-3.
