Men’s Tennis Releases 2026 Schedule

LA JOLLA, Calif. — Triton men's tennis head coach Timmer Willing has released the team's 2026 schedule, which features 24 matches. The Tritons will play 11 matches at home.

The season begins on Sunday, Jan. 11, with a doubleheader hosted by USC. The Tritons will play San Diego State before facing the Trojans.

Northview Tennis Courts will again be the site of UC San Diego's home matches. Admission is free. This year's home opener will be Jan. 16 against Sacramento State. That kicks off a five-match homestand, which concludes on Jan. 31 when the Tritons host Pomona-Pitzer.

The Tritons' lengthy home stretch then gives way to six matches away from home in 13 days in Idaho, Montana and Arizona. That trip is the only time UC San Diego will leave California.

Nonconference play begins to wrap up with four more home matches Feb. 26-March 22. A return trip to Sacramento State on March 25 will be the team's final nonconference match of the season.

Big West play begins on March 27 at UC Davis. The Tritons start their conference slate with four-straight on the road as they will also travel to UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly and UC Riverside.

The Big West home opener is April 18 against UC Irvine. The regular season then concludes the next day with the Tritons hosting Hawai'i.

Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego will once again host The Big West Championship, which is slated for April 22-25. The Tritons are in their second season of Division I postseason eligibility. In 2025, the Tritons were the four seed in The Big West Championship. They defeated Cal Poly in the quarterfinals before falling to top-seeded UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals.

Two of the Tritons' opponents are ranked in the ITA Preseason Top 25. Arizona is No. 11 and USC is No. 19. The Tritons will play at Arizona in a doubleheader on Feb. 21.

UC San Diego will face two future West Coast Conference opponents this season, both at home. LMU visits on Jan. 24, with Pacific coming to La Jolla on March 1. The Tritons will join the WCC beginning July 1, 2027.
