SILVER LAKE, Wash. — The varsity eight crew represented UC San Diego men's rowing in a single race at Gonzaga on Saturday that also included Oregon State. The Tritons finished third, 5.60 seconds behind Oregon State and 3.69 seconds behind Gonzaga.

The 2,000m race took place on Silver Lake, Gonzaga's home course. Conditions were flat throughout, with 4-5mph side/quarter tail wind.

All three teams are inaugural men's rowing members in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). The MPSF Championship is May 17-18 on Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.
