LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego baseball has released its 2026 schedule, as announced by head coach
Eric Newman. The Tritons will begin their season on the road with a three-game series at 2025 College World Series participant UCLA, Feb. 13-15.

UC San Diego is set for a challenging slate in 2026. The Tritons will face six opponents that competed in the 2025 NCAA Baseball Championship, including Regional participants Cal Poly, Cincinnati, Creighton, UC Irvine and Oregon, as well as the Bruins who advanced to the CWS in Omaha.

The 51-game regular season will feature 24 games at home in Triton Ballpark. UC San Diego will open its home slate with the Tony Gwynn Legacy event, beginning Feb. 19 against Utah. The Tritons will also host Creighton (Feb. 20), BYU (Feb. 21) and Western Michigan (Feb. 22) in the city-wide event.

The Tritons will play four non-conference series, including the opener with the Bruins. UC San Diego will also travel for road series at Louisiana (Feb. 27-Mar. 1) and Cincinnati (Mar. 5-8) during the conference bye week. The Tritons will play host to Oregon for a midweek series, March 24-25.

Big West play begins on the road at CSUN (Mar. 13-15) and the Tritons' conference opener will be March 20-22 against UC Riverside. Other home conference series include Hawai'i (Apr. 2-4), Cal Poly (Apr. 17-19), UC Irvine (Apr. 24-26). The Tritons will celebrate their seniors in the final week of the regular season, hosting Cal State Fullerton (May 14-16). Â

UC San Diego will travel for conference series at UC Davis (Mar. 27-29), UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 10-12), Long Beach State (May 1-3) and Cal State Bakersfield (May 8-10).Â

In addition, the Tritons will midweek games against USD at home on Feb. 24 and at Fowler Park on Apr. 21. UC San Diego will face San Diego State at Tony Gwynn Stadium on Apr. 14 and in Triton Ballpark on May 5. The Tritons will play host to Loyola Marymount on Apr. 28.

The 2026 Big West Baseball Championship is set for May 20-24 at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark in Irvine, Calif.
