HONOLULU — UC San Diego men's tennis will spend its weekend in Hawai'i, competing in a three-day tournament that also features Hawai'i and Hawai'i Pacific. Matches will be played Friday-Sunday at the UH Tennis Complex.
The Tritons and Hawai'i are both in The Big West this season, with Hawai'i set to join the Mountain West in 2026 and UC San Diego preparing for a move to the West Coast Conference in 2027. Last season's conference match-up between the two teams was also in Hawai'i, with the Tritons emerging victorious 4-2.
The scholar-athletes will compete in one singles and one doubles match on Friday and Sunday. Saturday's schedule calls for two doubles matches.
Nine Tritons will be in action, with six of those players being underclassmen.
David Adamson,
Robert Freedman and
Zach Pellouchoud are the three returners from last year's team. They are joined by four incoming freshmen (Andrew Beceiro, Abhinav Chunduru, Prathinav Chunduru, Trevor Nguyen) and two transfers (Trey Fourticq, Yaron Guberman).
