Anthony Eyanson has earned an invitation to the 2024 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp, taking place June 26-27 in Cary, N.C. Eyanson is the first Triton to compete with the U.S. Collegiate National Team.

Eyanson was exceptional as the Friday starter for the Tritons, earning All-Big West Second Team honors after stepping into the role midway through the season.Â

The sophomore finished with a 3.07 earned run average, appearing in 14 games and making nine starts for the Tritons. Eyanson led the team in innings pitched (82.0) and strikeouts (85), finishing the season with a 6-2 record and one save.

Eyanson ranked third in the Big West with a .190 opponent batting average and fifth in runs allowed (29), sixth in hits allowed (55), second in home runs allowed (2) and seventh in total strikeouts (85).

The right-hander capped the season by winning Big West Pitcher of the Week after throwing the Tritons' first complete game since 2021 with a 4-1 victory over Cal Poly (May 17).

The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp will feature 56 of the premier non-draft-eligible college players for a two-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina on June 26 and 27. USA Baseball will name the final Collegiate National Team–inclusive of an International Friendship Series roster and a Summer League Tour roster–following Training Camp on June 29.

Both Training Camp games will be played at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C, on June 26 and 27. First pitch of both games will be at 6:35 p.m. ET. The International Friendship Series roster will then take on Chinese Taipei in a five-game series, while the Summer League Tour roster will take on select teams from the Appalachian League and the Coastal Plain League in a four-game slate. The schedule will culminate with a Fourth of July matchup between the two U.S. Collegiate National Team rosters on July 4 in Fayetteville, N.C.
