Renner and Djordjevic Finish Time At FINA World Championships

BUDAPEST, Hungary – UC San Diego rising senior, Miranda Renner competed in Budapest, Hungary with head coach Marko Djordjevic and Team Philippines in the 19th Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) World Games from June 18 to July 3, 2022.
 
Renner competed in two events for the Philippines with her teammates competing in their own two events as well. Opening the games in the 100-meter freestyle, Renner posted a 57.80 time which landed her in the 31st position in the heat summary. The gold medal time for the event was 52.67, posted by Australian Mollie O'Callaghan.
 
The following day, the rising senior placed 32nd in the heat summary in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 27.22. The gold medal time posted by Sweden's Sarah Sjoestroem was 24.95 with silver and bronze a second behind her.
 
The FINA World Games were Renner's second international competition this summer after the Manila-born Triton represented the Philippines in Hanoi, Vietnam at the 31st Southeast Asian Games, where she set a national record in the 50-meter butterfly and medaled twice for the team.
