LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego women's rowing will compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships on Sunday at Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.

UC San Diego will send three boats to the event including the varsity 8+, the second varsity 8+ and the varsity 4+. This is the Tritons' second trip to the CAA Championships after joining the conference last season. Other teams competing include Delaware, Drexel, Eastern Michigan, Northeastern, UConn and Villanova.

The event will feature the third varsity 8+ final at 11 a.m., the varsity 4+ final at 11:10 a.m., the second varsity 8+ final at 11:20 a.m. and wrap up with the varsity 8+ final at 11:30 a.m. All times are eastern. The event will be broadcast via the subscription streaming service FloSports.

Between the three boats racing, the Tritons will have a total of 15 freshman and sophomores competing in the conference event.

UC San Diego placed fifth at the CAA Championships a season ago with 21 team points. The varsity 8+ had the best finish for the Tritons, taking home bronze with a time of 6:45.629.
