Tritons Compete at San Diego City Championships

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — The UC San Diego women's rowing team was back in action Saturday at the San Diego City Championships.

Rowing at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, the Tritons went up against the University of San Diego in varsity 8, second varsity 8, varsity 4, second varsity 4, and third varsity 4 races. In addition, San Diego State took part in the second varsity 8 race.

UC San Diego is off until April 25-26 when it hosts the Triton Invitational in Chula Vista.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program has begun a new era as a member of The Big West in NCAA Division I.
