SAN DIEGO. — The UC San Diego women's rowing team competed in the annualÂ
San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay Saturday and Sunday.
The Tritons had four boats in action - Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4, and Third Varsity Eight.
Saturday featured heat and prelim races while finals took place Sunday.
UC San Diego faced some of the top crews in the nation including No. 2 Texas, No. 5 Washington, and No. 10 California.
Also on Sunday, the Tritons' women's rowing program dedicated a new boat to Earl Edwards, the long-time Director of Athletics at UC San Diego and current Athletic Director Emeritus. Â
