Tritons Set to Take on Azusa Pacific in NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —The University of California San Diego men's tennis team officially made the NCAA Championships for the third-consecutive season on Tuesday evening, and will face No. 1-seed Azusa Pacific in the Round of 48 for the second-straight year.

UC San Diego, the No. 4-seed in the West Region, plays at Azusa Pacific on Tuesday, May 1, beginning at 3 p.m. PT. The Tritons have lost two tough matches to the Cougars this season, most recently a 6-3 home defeat on April 13.

The Tritons are led by senior Eric Tseng, who has gone 10-6 this dual season, all in the No. 1 singles slot, and has amassed three victories over ranked opponents. Fellow senior Justin Zhang has compiled a 9-8 record this dual season with each of his victories coming in No. 2 singles.

In addition, sophomore Marc Isaia is 10-6 in dual-match play in No. 3 singles, while freshman Eskil Jarlskog is 8-4 this season in No. 4 singles action.
