HILO, Hawaii - The No. 18 UC San Diego men's tennis team finished up their weekend in Hawaii with a 9-0 shutout against Hawaii-Hilo. The Tritons improve to 4-3 overall after winning three of the four matches in Hawaii.

UCSD got off to a quick start in doubles. Rajeev Herekar and Axel Bouillin paired up to defeat Kallen Mizuguchi and Kainoa Rosa, 8-3, at No. 1. Alexandre Miaule and Horea Porutiu downed Nicolas Franco and Stefan Coney, 8-1, in the No. 2 slot. At No. 3, Kona Luu and Eric Tseng beat Ryan Torio and Daniel Tada, 8-2, to complete the sweep in doubles.

Alexandre Miaule took the first singles point for the Tritons at the No. 5 slot with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Nicolas Franco, and Justin Zhang clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Ryan Torio at No. 6.

The Tritons will host Western New Mexico Friday at 3:30 p.m.
