CHRISTIAN HAMMONDS | MEN'S WATER POLO | JUNIOR | ATTACKER
Christian Hammonds led No. 12 UC San Diego to a 5-1 record at its own Triton Invitational. The junior attacker amassed 28 total points, scoring a team-high 19 goals and dishing out nine assists. His nine steals and 35 shots also led the team. Hammonds netted at least one goal in all six games and had multiple goals in three contests. He had at least one assist in four of six games with multiple helpers in three. He registered at least one steal in five of six games with multiple swipes in three. Hammonds set the tone immediately, totaling 11 points on seven goals and four assists in the season opener against Bucknell. All three of those numbers established new career highs. Against No. 4 California, he scored four times, assisted on a goal, and had three steals. In the tournament's final game, he rang up five goals and two assists as the Tritons upset eighth-ranked Pepperdine in overtime. 

MOLLY McCLUSKEY, WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL, JR., OPP
Molly McCluskey was a standout on opening weekend, leading UC San Diego to a 2-1 finish at the Gael Bear Classic. The junior opposite averaged 4.33 points, 3.33 kills and 2.42 digs across 12 sets for the Tritons, recording two double-doubles. She also tallied a conference-best seven service aces and added nine blocks to finish the weekend with 52 points. 

OREN STUPPEL, MEN'S SOCCER, GRADUATE STUDENT, MIDFIELDER
Oren Stuppel's Triton debut started with a bang on Thursday as he recorded a brace in the opening seven minutes of UC San Diego's 7-0 win over Navy. The midfielder finished the contest with three shots, all on target, after starting and playing 48 minutes. The team's seven goals are the most by UC San Diego men's soccer since Oct. 10, 1997, spanning the entirety of the team's Division I and Division II eras.

ALEXIS NGUYEN, WOMEN'S SOCCER, SENIOR, MIDFIELDER
Senior Alexis Nguyen played a key role in UC San Diego's unbeaten week, helping the Tritons earn a 2-1 victory at UNLV before battling Northern Arizona to a scoreless draw. Nguyen scored the game-winning goal against the Rebels and finished the week with five shots, including four on goal, while starting both matches and playing 143 minutes.
