Keith Okasaki - Golf
Senior golfer Keith Okasaki placed third this past week at the 61st Annual SoCal Intercollegiate at Mission Viejo Country Club. The Sacramento native posted a one-over par 72 in the opening round to grab a share of the lead and then followed with a 76 and 75 to wrap up the event at +10, 223. He was just five strokes behind the winner. It was Okasaki's best finish of the season. Overall, the Tritons finished sixth out of 14 teams with a +95, 947 over the three rounds.

Tim Shibuya - Baseball Senior right-hander Tim Shibuya threw his second complete game of the season Thursday against Cal Poly Pomona to become UCSD's all-time leader in innings pitched. He matched his career-high with 11 strikeouts and retired the final six Bronco batters as the Tritons won the game, 5-2. Shibuya scattered five hits and walked none as he improved to 6-1 on the year while lowering his ERA to 1.87. The Jackson, Wyo., native became UCSD's career wins leader earlier this season.

Kelly Fogarty - Track & Field
For the second time in three weeks, senior sprinter Kelly Fogarty set a new school record in the 200, winning the event at the Aztec Invitational on Saturday. With a time of 23.73, the Danville, Calif., native bested a field that featured competitors from defending Division I champion Texas A&M, UCLA, Wisconsin and BYU and set an NCAA automatic qualifying mark with the finish. The performance eclipsed her previous best of 23.79, set on March 5th.

Jesse Morrill - Track & Field Senior distance runner Jesse Morrill also had a strong showing at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational on Saturday, finishing second overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native clocked in at 9:12.17 in the event, collecting an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the process. Morrill, who finished behind Western State's Ryan Haebe, posted the second best time in school history with the performance.

Alex Henley - Women's Swimming
Junior
Alex Henley led the UCSD women to a third place finish at the NCAA Championships in San Antonio last week with an individual national title and several other key performances. She successfully defended her 2010 NCAA crown in the 200 butterfly on Saturday, winning the event with a time of 2:00.8. Henley, who also placed second in the 200 IM and third in the 400 IM, now has a total of three NCAA Championships in her three-year career at UCSD.

Matt Herman - Men's Swimming Junior transfer
Matt Herman accounted for two of the Tritons' three individual NCAA titles on the men's side, propelling UCSD to a second place team finish with victories in the 1000 free and 1650 free in San Antonio. He set new school records in both events, clocking in at 9:02.67 in the 1000 -- which was also a pool record -- and 15:12.78 in the 1650 to lead the Tritons to their best ever team finish and cap off a tremendous first season at UCSD.

Kelly Fogarty - Track & Field
Senior sprinter Kelly Fogarty had a big day on Saturday, leading UCSD to a victory at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge. Fogarty won both the 100 and 200 meters and earned NCAA qualifiers in both events. Her time of 11.83 in the 100 was good enough for an NCAA provisional qualifier, while her time of 23.79 in the 200 earned her an automatic qualifier. She also set a new school record in the longer event, breaking her own mark of 23.96 from last season.

Blake Tagmyer - Baseball Senior second baseman Blake Tagmyer had a great weekend at the plate, leading the third-ranked Tritons to a 3-1 series win over visiting San Francisco State. In four games, the Centennial, Colo., native hit .500 (6-12), with five runs scored, three walks, a home run and six RBI. He had a huge performance in the series finalé on Sunday, going 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two runs driven in. He hit his second homer of the season in the first inning.

Chelsea Carlisle - Women's Basketball
With a total of 10 assists against Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino last week, junior guard Chelsea Carlisle became UCSD's all-time single season assist leader. The Agoura Hills native has a total of 160 dimes in 2010-11, which surpassed Alexis Mezzetta's mark of 159 set in 2007-08. Carlisle also averaged team-highs of 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds last week, helping the Tritons lock up the third seed in the CCAA Tournarment.

Tim Shibuya - Baseball Senior right-hander Tim Shibuya turned in another gem for the top-ranked Tritons on Saturday, going the distance in the series opener against Cal State Monterey Bay. Shibuya propelled UCSD to an 8-3 triumph, allowing just three runs on five hits in his first complete game of the season. The Jackson, Wyo. native struck out two and walked one to improve to 4-0 on the season. He induced a total of 16 ground ball outs in the commanding performance.

Alex Henley - Women's Swimming
Junior Alex Henley led UCSD to a third consecutive Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Championship over the weekend in Long Beach, recording individual victories in a total of four events. In addition to posting first place times in the 800 free, 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 back, she also contributed to Triton wins in the 400 free, 400 IM and 800 free relays during the competition. Henley was named the Women's Swimmer of the Meet for her performance.

Nick Korth - Men's Swimming Redshirt freshman Nick Korth had a great meet on the men's side in Long Beach, helping the Tritons record a third straight PCSC title as well. A transfer from UC Irvine, Korth posted individual victories in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM, while also swimming legs on UCSD's winning 400 IM and 200 IM relay teams. His respective times of 54.58 and 1:58.56 in the two breastroke events established new school and conference records.

Sarah Woofter - Softball
Senior shortstop Sarah Woofter led UCSD to a series sweep of San Francisco State at Triton Softball Field over the weekend, batting a team-high .600 with a double, three runs scored and a run driven in in four games. Woofter also finished the weekend with a walk and got hit three times to reach base in seven of her nine at-bats. She posted an on-base percentage of .778 and a slugging percentage of .800 for the series, helping the Tritons improve to 9-1 overall.

Erik Elliott - Men's Tennis Senior Erik Elliott led the Tritons to a perfect 4-0 record at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Glendale over the weekend as UCSD continued its impressive start to the 2011 season. Playing at No. 1 singles, Elliott won three out of four matches, with his only defeat coming to Hawaii Pacific's Petr Michnev on Saturday. He also teammed with sophomore Austin West to post a 4-0 mark in four doubles contests over the weekend. UCSD is now 6-0 overall.

Camille Gaito - Softball
Junior righty Camille Gaito got off to a tremendous start to the 2011 campaign over the weekend, going 3-0 in three starts against Notre Dame de Namur and Colorado School of Mines. The San Rafael native allowed just one earned run in a combined 22 innings of work and surrendered just 11 hits in her three outings. She recorded a total of 21 strikeouts with just one walk, helping the Tritons win five of their first six games to start the season.

Phil Bannan - Men's Volleyball With a total of 30 helpers in Friday's 3-1 loss to No. 11 Pepperdine, senior setter Phil Bannan became UCSD's all-timer career assist leader, surpassing Brooks Dierdorff's record of 3,867 set in 2007. The Newport Beach native was just five shy of the record entering the matchup with the Waves and quickly set the new standard with the Tritons trailing 18-14 in the first set. Bannan now has a total of 3,893 assists in his three-plus seasons in La Jolla.

Hanalei Crowell - Women's Water Polo
Senior attacker Hanalei Crowell led the 18th-ranked Tritons to a 2-2 record at the UCSB Winter Invite in Santa Barbara over the weekend, tallying 10 goals, seven assists and 13 steals during the tournament. After scoring three goals and dishing out two assists in UCSD's 11-8 loss to No. 7 Michigan on Saturday, she came back with a team-high four scores to go with three helpers in a 14-10 victory over conference rival Sonoma State on Sunday.

Calvin Ross - Men's Volleyball Senior middle blocker Calvin Ross had a career week, helping No. 15 UCSD to a 2-1 record in three home matches. In Friday's 3-2 win over Hawaii, he set a new career mark with 17 kills, while running his point total to 19.5. In Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Warriors, he hit at an impressive .706 clip with 12 kills and no errors in 17 attacks. The Carlsbad native also tallied four blocks in each of the Tritons' two matches against Hawaii.

Alex Henley - Women's Swimming
Junior Alex Henley powered the UCSD women's swimming team to a 152-146 come-from-behind victory over Cal Baptist on Saturday, winning two individual events and then swimming a leg in the decisive 400 free relay. After winning the 200 free and 200 fly with respective times of 1:54.39 and 2:03.94, the Thousand Oaks native joined Anju Shimura, Amber Tan and Anji Shakya to post a winning time of 3:34.34 in the final relay and seal the meet for the Tritons.

Matt Herman - Men's Swimming Junior Matt Herman continued his stellar first season with the Tritons on Saturday, leading the UCSD men's swimming team to a 163-137 team victory over visiting Cal Baptist at Canyonview. Herman, a transfer from UC Davis, registered wins in two key distance events for the Tritons, winning the 500 and 1,000 freestyles at 4:41.53 and 9:44.94, respectively. He finished with leads of over three seconds in both events.

Emily Osga - Women's Basketball
Sophomore guard Emily Osga was outstanding last week, averaging team-highs of 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, while also putting up 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in UCSD's home wins over Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills. She led all scorers with 17 points and hauled down a career-high 13 rebounds against the Golden Eagles and then scored a game-high 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting against the Toros. She was 6-of-7 on threes in the win.

Tyler McGrath - Men's Basketball Sophomore guard Tyler McGrath hit a huge shot in the Tritons' come-from-behind win over Cal State L.A. on Thursday, draining a long three with six seconds remaining to tie the game and force a second overtime period. UCSD erased a five-point deficit with 1:18 left in the first OT and went on to defeat the Golden Eagles, 76-73. McGrath finished with six points in the game and then came back to score 11 in the loss to No. 7 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.

Anji Shakya - Women's Swimming
Fresham Anji Shakya helped guide the UCSD women to a convincing sweep of Grand Canyon and Mesa State on Sunday, recording individual victories in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events, while also contributing to Triton wins in the 200 free and 200 medley relays. She had a good day on Saturday as well, finishing first in the 500 free and second in the 200 free in UCSD's narrow 132-130 loss to Layola Marymount at Canyonview.

Blake Langland - Men's Swimming Junior sprinter Blake Langland put together an impressive day on Sunday, leading the Tritons to a pair of team wins over Division II opponents Grand Canyon and Mesa State. He recorded individual victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and also swam legs on both of UCSD's winning relay teams. He entered the water a body length behind in the 200 free relay and wound up winning the race for the Tritons by a half of a body length to cap off the sweep.

Sophomore guard Emily Osga helped UCSD earn a convincing 77-55 victory over Sonoma State in its only game last week, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal in 33 minutes of action. The San Diego native finished 5-of-9 from the floor and hit 2-of-3 attempts from the three-point line, reaching double figures for the fifth time in the last six games. Osga is currently second on the squad averaging 13.8 points per game.

Annette Ilg - Women's Soccer
As she has done so many times this season, senior forward Annette Ilg rose to the occasion in the national semifinal matchup with No. 1 ranked and undefeated Saint Rose on Thursday, guiding home the eventual game-winning goal in the 56th minute to lift UCSD to the program's first national championship match since 2001. Ilg wrapped up her first year as a member of the women's soccer team with a team-high 11 goals scored in 25 matches.

Lauren Freidenberg - Women's Basketball Junior center Lauren Freidenberg had a big weekend for the Tritons, averaging 18.5 points and 7.0 rebounds against Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State. The Seattle native also shot 65.2% (15-23) from the field and talled two blocks and four steals, helping UCSD earn a road split during the first weekend of CCAA play. Freidenberg finished with a career-high 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting and hauled in eight boards in the 92-91 loss to the Otters.

Kristin Armstrong - Women's Soccer
Junior goalkeeper Kristin Armstrong posted a pair of shutouts last week, helping the 12th-ranked women's soccer team advance to the NCAA Final Four in Louisville next month. The Tritons defeated No. 9 Seattle Pacific in the Sweet 16 and then took down eighth-ranked St. Edwards in the Elite Eight to push their unbeaten streak to 18. The Anaheim native made a total of four saves against the Falcons and Hilltoppers and now has 14 shutouts on the season.

Matt Herman - Men's Swimming Matt Herman turned in a strong showing at the Arena Invitational over the weekend, finishing sixth in the 1650 free and 12th in the 500 free. Competing against an all-Division I field, the junior transfer posted a time of 15:29.04 in the longer event, breaking the program's all-time mark of 15:38.24 set by Dave Sacco in 1988. His time of 4:31.11 in the 500 also ranks in the top-10 all-time and both marks were good enough for NCAA qualifiers.

Sophomore defender Ellen Wilson came through in a big way in Hawaii, scoring a pair of game-winners to lead No. 12 UCSD to the Sweet 16 with victories over San Francisco State and BYU-Hawaii in the NCAA Tournament. The Santa Ana native found the net in the 66th minute of the Tritons' 3-1 win over the sixth-seeded Gators on Thursday and then tallied the only goal of the match in UCSD's 1-0 win over the second-seeded Seasiders on Saturday.

Christian Hatch - Men's Basketball Junior center Christian Hatch had a great opening weekend for UCSD, leading the Tritons to the Disney West Coast Tipoff Classic title in Anaheim. The Henderson, Nev. native guided UCSD to a 2-1 record during the tournament, averaging 14.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in three games. He scored a game-high 20 points in the 65-57 win over Dixie State College on Saturday and went on to earn Disney Classic MVP honors for his performance.

Senior driver Ryan Allred scored a team-high six goals last week, leading the 12th-ranked Tritons to a 2-1 record during the final week of the regular season. The La Verne, Calif. native found the net twice in each of UCSD's victories over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and No. 19 Pomona Pitzer, while also scoring a pair of goals in a losing effort against No. 5 UC Irvine. Allred currently ranks second on the squad with a total of 33 goals scored this season.

Jesse Morrill - Cross Country Redshirt senior Jesse Morrill put together a strong performance at the 2010 CCAA Championships on Saturday, finishing 11th overall individually to lead the Tritons to a third place team finish. The Huntington Beach native clocked in with a final time of 25:11.6 on the 8k Legg Lake course in Whittier Narrows Regional Park and took home All-CCAA accolades for the first time in his career by virtue of his top-15 finish.

In 11 sets, the Pasadena native racked up a team-high 39 kills on .306 hitting, while also totaling 35 digs and four blocks. She finished with a double-double in all three matches, beginning with a stellar 17-kill, 11-dig effort in the Tritons' 3-1 triumph over the Pioneers.

Courtney Capobianco - Women's Soccer
Courtney Capobianco's first goal of the season was a big one, as she sent home the game-winner in the first minute of double-overtime to lift UC San Diego to a 1-0 triumph over Cal State San Bernardino on the road Sunday. After both teams battled to a scoreless tie through 100 minutes of play, the Laguna Beach native punched home the rebound off a shot by Sarah McTigue at the 100:28 mark, sending the Tritons to their eighth consecutive victory.

Kellen Levy - Cross Country Freshman Kellen Levy turned in a strong effort on Saturday, leading the UCSD men's cross country team to a victory at the Bronco Preview Meet in Whittier. The Fresno, Calif. native clocked in with a time of 25:51.9 in the men's 8k, leading a pack of six Triton runners in the top 10. While Levy was the third individual to cross the finish line, the two runners in front of him were competing unattached, giving him first place overall in the scoring.

Roxanne Brunsting - Women's Volleyball
Junior outside hitter Roxanne Brunsting turned in a pair of tremendous performances over the weekend, leading UCSD to road victories at Sonoma State and Humboldt State. The Chula Vista native averaged 3.11 kills, 5.89 assists and 3.67 digs in nine sets and also finished with a total of four service aces and four blocks. Brunsting recorded a triple-double in both matches, finishing with double-digit kill, assist and digs totals for the first time in her career.

Jared Kukura - Men's Soccer Senior defender Jared Kukura had one of the best performances of his career on Friday night, scoring a pair of goals to lead the Tritons to a 3-2 upset of 14th-ranked Chico State. After putting UCSD on the board with a goal in the 46th minute, the San Diego native punched home the golden goal with 50 seconds remaining in the first overtime period as the Tritons erased a late 2-1 deficit to take down the Wildcats. UCSD is now 6-0-2 in its last eight matches.

forward Sarah McTigue helped guide UCSD to a convincing 4-1 victory at Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, scoring what proved to be the game-winning goal after the Otters had tied the score at one. The Bellflower, Calif. native sent a quality header past the Monterey Bay goalkeeper in the 57th minute to put the Tritons ahead for good. The goal was McTigue's second of 2010 and the 13th of her career.

she averaged 2.5 kills, 4.67 digs, 0.67 blocks and 0.67 assists per set.

the 11th-ranked Tritons to a weekend split at Cal Lutheran and UC Santa
Barbara. Madsen recorded four goals in UCSD's 14-4 rout over the
Kingsmen on Friday, with two of his scores coming during a decisive 8-1
Triton run in the second quarter. The Westminster, Calif. native also
had a goal in UCSD's loss to No. 6 UCSB loss on Saturday, giving him six
overall in 2010

Annette Ilg - Women's Soccer Senior Annette Ilg, a standout on the UCSD women's basketball team the past four years, made the transition to soccer this fall and had a smashing opening weekend for the Tritons, tallying three goals in two games. The 5-foot-10 foward found the net twice in UCSD's season-opening 6-0 rout of Dominican on Thursday and then came up with what proved to be the game-winner in the second half of Saturday's 2-0 triumph over Notre Dame de Namur.

Jesse Morrill - Cross Country After redshirting the 2009 season, senior Jesse Morrill returned to competition with a bang on Friday, leading the UCSD men's cross country team to a dominant season-opening victory over Cerritos College and Point Loma Nazarene. The Newport Beach, Calif. native was the top individual finisher in the men's four-mile run, clocking in at 22:15.3 in his first event since November 2008. Morrill set the tone, as UCSD had the top four finishers on the day.
