LA JOLLA, Calif. — Nine Triton tennis players earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, with both the men's and women's teams being honored as ITA All-Academic Teams, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Women's tennis maintained a collective 3.68 GPA, the highest of the Tritons. Men's tennis earned a 3.32.

ITA Individual Scholar-Athlete awards are announced every spring. To be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, scholar-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team a team must earn a cumulative 3.2 team GPA.

Gamracy also earned CSC All-District honors, announced in May, for her work in the classroom and on the court. Nair and Pellouchoud were named to the Big West Spring All-Academic recognition.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of The Big West in NCAA Division I. The 24-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors.
