LA JOLLA, Calif. – The 30th annual UC San Diego Golf Tournament benefiting Triton Athletics is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026 at Maderas Golf Club in Poway, Calif. Formerly called the Triton Athletic Fund Golf Tournament, the event generates financial support that enhances the educational and athletic experiences for UC San Diego's nearly 600 Division I scholar-athletes.
The UC San Diego Golf Tournament serves as a vehicle to generate financial support, which enhances the educational and athletic experiences of our scholar-athletes.
Your investment helps us achieve our mission to create an environment where excellence thrives both in the classroom and in competition. Our history has been one of unparalleled success including 30 NCAA team championships and producing 118 individual National Champions. Triton athletes have historically maintained a GPA that is on par with the general student population of this outstanding academic institution.
Additionally, our scholar athletes, coaches, and staff participate in a variety of community service projects that impact the greater San Diego community. Your support will assist in our efforts to recruit, educate, and graduate exceptional young men and women who represent UC San Diego in truly remarkable ways.
In 2026, the tournament returns to Maderas Golf Club, a scenic, par 72 Johnny Miller-designed golf course located in Poway, Calif. Maderas is one of only two San Diego courses named to Golf Digest's Top 100 Public Courses in the U.S. and offers both beauty and challenges as it winds through the cliffs, rock outcroppings, creeks and multi-million dollar homes of San Diego's inland hill country. Registration begins at Noon with a shotgun start scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Cart, green fees, tournament gifts, lunch and a post-round dinner are included.
A variety of levels of participation are available for individual golfers, foursomes, groups and corporate sponsors. Individual registration is $500, and foursome registration starts at $2,000. To register, visit https://ucsdtritons.com/documents/2026/4/21/Triton_Athletics_Golf_Flyer.pdf
