SAN DIEGOÂ - The UC San Diego men's golf team finished third at its own tournament Tuesday as the UC San Diego Invitational wrapped up at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
Playing on the North Course, the Tritons shot below par in all three rounds to finish nine-under on the par 7258-yard layout.
LMU topped the 17-team field. Leading wire-to-wire, the Lions were 18-under, seven strokes better than second place UC Santa Barbara.
Individually, senior
Nathan Tseng was UC San Diego's highest finisher, taking fifth at six under par.
The winner was Nateeshvar Anatha Ganesh from LMU, who owned the lead after all three rounds. He finished 13 under, two strokes in front of Creighton's Grant Feldman.
UC San Diego has finished in the top five seven times in eight events this season.

With two events remaining until the Big West Championship, UC San Diego heads to Washington State to take part in the Redhawak Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Seattle U at Chambers Bay, is set for March 30-31.
