Davis McDowell and
Nathan Tseng earned All-Big West recognition as the conference announced its annual postseason awards Tuesday.
McDowell was selected to the All-Big West First Team while Tseng took a spot on the All-Big West Second Team.
Both Tritons have been named All-Big West multiple times during their careers.
UC San Diego wrapped up its season last week at The Big West Championship at La Quinta Country Club. The Tritons placed fourth of 10 teams.
Davis McDowell
Senior • San Rafael, Calif.
• Four-time All-Big West performer
• Posted a team-best 71.1 stroke average
• Won the Ram Masters at Colorado State
• Three top-five finishes
• Eight top-20 finishes
• Shot in the 60's eight times
• Shot a 65 twice, which equaled his career-low round
• 21 rounds of par or better

Nathan Tseng
Senior • Fullerton, Calif.
• Two-time All-Big West performer
• Posted a 72.2 stroke average
• Won the Pearl at Kalauao, his first collegiate victory
• Placed fifth at the UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines
• Top Triton finisher at The Big West Championship (15th)
• Shot a 66, matching his career-low round, in the first round of the season at the Ram Masters
• 24 rounds of par or better
• Seven rounds under 70
• Five top-20 finishes

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I.
