SAN DIEGO - The UC San Diego men's golf team remains third of 17 schools after Monday's second round of the UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
Playing on Torrey Pines' North Course, the Tritons are five under par overall, shooting one under today and four under in Sunday's opening round.
Loyola Marymount continues to lead the field, now at 15 under par. The Lions went six under Monday and nine under Sunday.
UC Santa Barbara is in second place at eight under.
Individually, three Tritons are among the top 10 in the 104 player field. Seniors
Davis McDowell and
Nathan Tseng are tied for seventh at three under and junior
Justin Gill is tied for 10th at two under. McDowell moved up 10 spots in the standings after firing a three under 69 today.
LMU's Nateeshvar Anatha Ganesh sits in first place, where he was at the end of round one, at 13 under, shooting rounds of six under and seven under. Five players are tied for second, nine strokes back at four under.

About UC San Diego Athletics
After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I.
