LA JOLLA, CALIF. – UC San Diego's
Eva Boehlke was recognized by the conference this afternoon, earning the Big West Swimmer of the Week award on Jan. 13th. This is Boehlke's second time this season earning the weekly award, she was last awarded the honor on Nov. 18th.

At the tri-meet against USC and UNLV, Friday Jan. 9,
Eva Boehlke had three podium finishes across two individual events and a relay. In the 100 Backstroke Boehlke won with a time of 53.73. In the 200 Backstroke, she placed second (1:56.99), only falling to first by .5 seconds. Boehlke swam the third leg of the second-place 200 Medley Relay (23.39 split).

So far this season, a squad of Tritons have been honored with the weekly award. Starting off,
Asia Kozan and
Luigi Franco swept the award on Oct. 21st.
Chloe Braun claimed the weekly honor Nov. 11th. The following week, on Nov. 18th,
Hunter Cehelnik and Boehlke were recognized for their performance at the Tritons dual meet against UC Santa Barbara and Pepperdine. Kozan earned her second weekly honor on Nov. 25th, making it the third Big West Swimmer of the Week award in a row the Triton women were recognized with.

UP NEXT
The UC San Diego men will host Stanford men at home on Friday, Jan. 16th. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
