WINDSOR, N.J. — USRowing has announced the roster for the upcoming 2025 World Rowing Under 23 Championships. UC San Diego's Annica Ford was named to the women's eight crew.

The World Championships will take place July 23-27 on Lake Malta in Poznan, Poland. The preliminary schedule calls for Ford and the U.S. to race in heats on July 24, with finals scheduled for July 27.

During her recent senior season, Ford and the rest of the Tritons' varsity eight crew won the Cal Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic. She was an All-American Honorable Mention at the conclusion of her junior season. Ford has also earned numerous academic awards throughout her career as a Triton.

"I could not be more proud of Annica and what she has accomplished," Triton head coach Colin Truex said. "To represent the U.S. in the eight at the U23 World Championships is a dream come true for her and the result of years of never-ending work in the boat, on the erg and in the weight room. She is truly an inspiration and it has been one of my career highlights to be able to work with her these last four years. She has helped put UC San Diego women's rowing on the national and now international rowing map, and I am so excited to watch her race for the USA!"
