LA JOLLA, Calif. — The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) honored eight UC San Diego women's rowers today with CRCA Scholar-Athlete Awards. The accolade celebrates those who perform both in the classroom and on the water.
The Tritons' CRCA Scholar-Athletes are
Lily Feagler,
Peyton Fisk,
Annica Ford,
Charlotte Hunter,
Natalie Norstad,
Melinda Pullin,
Ellie Swanson and
Ameli Tucker.
In order to receive the award, scholar-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. In addition, they must have rowed in at least 75% of their team's spring races or raced in an NCAA boat at their conference championship. Freshmen are ineligible for the award.
CRCA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES
Feagler is a senior majoring in human biology. The Denver, Colorado, native finished the season in the stroke seat of the second varsity eight boat.

Fisk is a senior majoring in political science and data analytics. The El Segundo, California, native finished the season as the coxswain of the second varsity eight boat.

Ford is a senior majoring in neuroscience. The Petaluma, California, native finished the season in the varsity eight boat.

Hunter is a graduate student earning a degree in business analytics. The Sonoma, California, native finished the season in the second varsity eight boat.

Norstad is a fifth-year senior majoring in biology. The Corte Madera, California, native finished the season in the second varsity eight boat.

Pullin is a sophomore majoring in human biology. The Berkeley, California, native finished the season as the coxswain of the varsity four boat.

Swanson is a sophomore majoring in international studies. The Fair Oaks, California, native finished the season in the second varsity eight boat.

Tucker is a senior majoring in neuroscience. The New Orleans, Louisiana, native finished the season in the varsity four boat.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of The Big West Conference in NCAA Division I.
