LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego's head men's soccer coach Jon Pascale announced the 2025 19-game slate for the Tritons on Wednesday afternoon. A competitive preseason has the gold and blue facing the likes of Duke and Cal followed by Big West competition with nine games set for conference play.

The Tritons will host 10 games at Triton Soccer Stadium on the La Jolla campus.

Putting together his 18th Triton squad, Pascale commented, "we put together a group of opponents that will challenge us, help us grow and give us the opportunity to make some noise."

Opening the season with the annual friendly at San Diego State on Aug. 12 the Tritons will host Arizona Western in a second exhibition before officially opening the 2025 season hosting LMU on Saturday, Aug. 16. UC San Diego will then go on a three-game road stint as they head to North Carolina and northern California.

Playing two games in Durham, N.C., the Tritons will face Furman University (Aug. 21) before facing host Duke (Aug. 24) – a 2024 NCAA tournament team. UC San Diego hosted the then No. 20 Blue Devils in 2024 which resulted in a tough 3-2 loss. Following the trip to North Carolina, the Tritons head to Berkeley to take on Cal on Monday, Sep. 1.

The preseason will wrap with a four-game homestand as the Tritons host Houston Christian, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, and San Jose State.
"We expect to be fully battle tested by the time conference starts as we set out after a Big West title," Pascale added.

UC San Diego will open Big West competition on the road at UC Irvine on Wednesday, Oct. 1 before returning to Triton Soccer Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 4 to host the 2024 Big West Champions, UC Davis, for the home conference opener.

October continues for the gold and blue with two on the road at UC Riverside (Oct. 8) and Cal Poly (Oct. 11). The next four games have the Tritons in La Jolla on Wednesdays and on the road Saturdays. Hosting UC Santa Barbara on the 15th and Cal State Bakersfield on the 22nd. On the 18th, UC San Diego will head to Northridge to face CSUN and then north again to Sacramento State on the 25th.

Wrapping the regular season, the Tritons will finish the season at home hosting Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

The following week the six-team Big West Championship is set to begin. The play-in game is slotted for Nov. 5 followed by the semi on Nov. 8 and the final set for Nov. 15. The winner of the Big West Championship will receive an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Admission to regular season home matches at Triton Soccer Stadium is free, though parking permits are required seven days per week on the UC San Diego campus.
