2024 CAA CHAMPIONSHIP

MEET THE TRITONS
Roster
This year's squad of 47 consists of 1 graduate student, 12 seniors, 8 juniors, 15 sophomores and 11 freshmen. There are 35 returners from last season's roster.
MEET THE COACHES
Colin Truex is in his 13th season as head coach of the women's rowing team and 18th with UC San Diego. Associate head coach and recruiting coordinator
Kimberly Dale is also in her 13th year with the team. They are joined on the staff by two first-year assistants,
Toby Johnson and
Jamie Press.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
If they qualify, the Tritons will compete at the NCAA Rowing Championship May 30-June 1 on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey. All UC San Diego teams are fully eligible for all levels of the Division I postseason.
WHY THE TRITONS?
The Triton is described as the offspring of Poseidon and Amphitrite, a demigod of the sea with a lower part of the body like that of a fish. It is known as a mighty and fierce sea warrior. Given UC San Diego's close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and its connections with the world-famous Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Triton became our mascot in 1964.
