LA JOLLA, Calif. – After a tremendous performance in the conference championships to end their season, the UC San Diego women's rowing team earned four awards from the Coastal Athletic Association this weekend.

Sophia Gordon,
Sabrina Koldinger and
Bianca Tung were selected to the All-CAA Team for their strong weekend of racing, while Tritons head women's rowing coach
Colin Truex was selected as the CAA Coach of the Year after leading his team to a second overall finish at the CAA Championships.Â
Both Gordon and Tung were a part of the Tritons' Varsity 8+ crew that finished in the top two of both races this past weekend in New Jersey. Koldinger helped as a key piece of UC San Diego's Second Varsity 8+ boat, which posted first and second place finishes respectively across two days of racing.Â
Truex, in his 12th season leading UC San Diego's program helped the Tritons accumulate 40 team points to finish in second overall place. Racing against schools from across the nation, UC San Diego finished ahead of the following programs at this weekend's conference championships: Drexel, UConn, Deleware, Villanova, Eastern Michigan and Monmouth.Â
