Petkovic Named MPSF Athlete of the Week

LA JOLLA, Calif. – On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference named senior Andrija Petkovic the male athlete of the week for his outstanding performance at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville this past week.

In his pursuit of Olympic qualifying times, Petkovic set two program records in the 100 meter free at 49.88 and the 50 meter back at 25.66. Returning to the finals twice, he swam in the 100 free and the 200 free (1:53.03) placing 16th and 24th respectively.
This Petkovic's first time winning the conference weekly honors, and the 24th time the Tritons have earned the award since joining the conference in 2020.

UP NEXT
The Tritons travel to Riverside, Calif. for a double dual meet vs. California Baptist and Grand Canyon University on Jan. 20 with the meet set to start at 11 a.m.
