IRVINE, Calif. — The UC San Diego track and field team finished their last day at the Vince O'Boyle Track and Field Classic with phenomenal performances. With several finishes in the top five from both men's and women's teams, the Tritons walked away from Irvine earning first in four events.
On the men's side,
Marcos Milla won the 5000m run with an impressive time of 14:32.32, while
Kyle Gibbs took first place in the pole vault with a height of 5.11m.
Ian Gerth placed second overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:30.25, and
Jack Wiseman placed third overall in the high jump with a height of 2.03m.
In the women's events,
Caitlin Billman won the 5000m run with a time of 17:33.81, while
Leila Keyvan took first place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:58.05.
Lauren Pritchard placed second overall in the high jump with a height of 1.61m, and Julia Di Silverstri placed second overall in the pole vault with a height of 3.70m.
Other notable performances included Lizzie Coley, who placed third overall in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.41, and
Feyi Olukanni, who placed fifth overall in the shot put with a distance of 13.79m.
