NEW ORLEANS – The UC San Diego track and field program was recognized for its outstanding achievements in the classroom as both the men's and women's teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors. In addition, nine Triton scholar-athletes received USTFCCCA All-Academic individual recognition.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Team status, programs must achieve a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Individual All-Academic honorees must maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and compete in at least one round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The honor reflects UC San Diego's continued commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics, as Triton scholar-athletes excelled in the classroom while competing at the NCAA Division I level.
