COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced both their spring Scholar All-America Teams and Individual Scholar All-Americans for the 2021-2022 season. The UC San Diego men's and women's swim and dive teams both earned team honors with five Tritons earning all-second team individual honors.

To be recognized as a team, the Tritons were required to achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher as a team. The Triton women averaged a 3.60 with 30 scholar-athletes contributing to the grade point average. With 23 scholar-athletes contributing on the men's side, they averaged a 3.72.

The CSCAA awarded 1,206 individual honors to scholar-athletes who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.

Five Tritons were awarded Second Team honors for their competitive prowess in combination with their academic achievement.
