LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego held commencement for the Class of 2022 from Saturday, June 11 through Sunday, June 12 on RIMAC Field. UC San Diego acknowledged the grit and resiliency of this graduating class in what was another obstacle-laden academic year.
UC San Diego alumna and NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, PhD '09 delivered the commencement address to the Class of 2022 at the All Campus Commencement on June 11.
Separate ceremonies were held for each undergraduate college: Revelle, Muir, Marshall, Warren, Roosevelt, Sixth, and Seventh, as well as the Graduate Division for Masters and Doctoral Students, the Rady School of Management, and the School of Global Policy and Strategy. The Class of 2020 returned to UC San Diego as well, as many Triton alumni returned to RIMAC Field for a make-up commmencement after missing out on an in-person ceremony after completing their coursework at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
