LA JOLLA, Calif. — For the third-consecutive season, UC San Diego men's volleyball standout
Kyle McCauley earned All-America recognition as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and National Volleyball Association (NVA) announced their annual honorees Monday.
A senior outside hitter, McCauley was selected to the NVA/AVCA All-America Second Team.
In 2022, McCauley led UC San Diego to a 13-11 overall record and a 5-5 mark in the Big West Conference. The Tritons, ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation this year, won seven matches against other ranked teams including No. 2 Long Beach State, No. 3 Hawaii, No. 11 BYU (twice), No. 12 Stanford, and No. 13 UC Irvine (twice).
In 2020, McCauley's first season with the Tritons after transferring from Orange Coast College, he was named an AVCA First Team All-American. In 2021, he was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention.
The Huntington Beach native and urban studies and planning major is a three-time All-Big West Conference First Team performer.
