LA JOLLA, Calif. — Two UC San Diego scholar-athletes have been honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as All-Americans at the conclusion of the 2026 men's volleyball season. Sebastiano Sani is on the Second Team, with Jim Garrison being named an Honorable Mention.
 
The selections were made by a committee of NCAA men's volleyball coaches. The Tritons now have 11 All-American awards in program history. This is the second-straight season and third year overall with multiple Tritons being honored in the same season.
 
Sani is a junior outside hitter from Bethesda, Maryland. He is majoring in international business at Muir College. Sani led the Tritons in points, kills, aces, digs and matches started. He averaged 4.21 points, 3.52 kills, 1.06 digs, 0.54 blocks and 0.38 aces per set this season while hitting .289.
 
Garrison is a redshirt senior middle blocker from Manhattan Beach, California. He is majoring in computer science at Warren College. Garrison led the Tritons in hitting percentage and was second on the teams in blocks while leading the team's middle blockers in points and kills. He averaged 1.93 points, 1.41 kills and 0.83 blocks per set this season while hitting .541.
 
Sani and Garrison were both All-Big West selections as well. Sani was a First Team honoree, with Garrison also being named Honorable Mention at the conference level.
 
The Tritons finished 13-14 overall and 3-7 in The Big West. They were the five seed in the conference's postseason championship, sweeping UC Santa Barbara in the first round to reach the semifinals in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history. UC San Diego is currently ranked No. 11 nationally.
