LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego held commencement for the Class of 2021 on Saturday, June 12 through Sunday, June 13 at RIMAC Field. UC San Diego acknowledged each and every Tritons' resiliency and adaptability among an academic year like no other. Keeping in mind the health and safety of all, graduates were permitted a pair of guests to attend the ceremonies in person.
UC San Diego alumna Alicia Garza '02 and current principal at Black Futures Lab and the co-founder of the Black Lives Matter Global Network delivered the keynote address.
Separate ceremonies were held for each undergraduate college: Revelle, Muir, Marshall, Warren, Roosevelt, Sixth and Seventh, as well as the Graduate Division, Rady School of Management and the School of Global Policy and Strategy.
Nearly 100 Triton scholar-athletes made up the graduating Class of 2021.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I. The 23-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors.
